Ember & Iron is a rustic farmhouse inspired kitchen located in an old blacksmith building. Ember & Iron has established itself as a must eat destination for both locals and visitors. The farmhouse style kitchen offers an extensive range of locally grown farm to table meats and produce.

With a newly rejuvenated main street, and a growing downtown area, Ember & Iron knew that now was the time to complete a fresh modern rebrand. This project included a full brand identity, brand guidelines, menu design, marketing materials and a strong digital footprint to drive them forward for years to come.

THE REBRAND

Ember & Iron’s branding had not been updated since its opening in 1993. 18 years on, its visual identity was dated and didn’t represent the restaurant’s reputation and goals. It was important to provide a modern design that still stayed grounded to the rustic roots of the town and its community.

SOCIAL MEDIA

To grow engagement we crafted a social media strategy and visuals to correctly take advantage of Instagram stories and highlights, while establishing a user-friendly profile.

MENU / MARKETING TOUCH POINTS

One of the most important design updates for Ember & Iron was the menu. It had to speak to the new visual identity of the restaurant while still being easy for the customer to navigate. With both print and digital in mind, it was important to use consistent elements across both menus.

We also used coasters, posters, and staff uniforms to share the Ember & Iron story, promote upcoming events and to share its commitment to the local community.
